Work With The Aftercare Project
The Aftercare Project works alongside organisations, schools, universities, charities, local authorities and community groups to create meaningful opportunities for care-experienced voices to be heard.
Whether you're looking for creative workshops, speaking, lived-experience consultancy, training or collaborative projects, we'd love to hear from you. Every partnership is built around the same principle: creativity first, people always.
If you have an idea, let's have a conversation.
What We Can Offer
We can work with organisations in a variety of ways, including:
• Creative writing and storytelling workshops
• Co-production and lived experience consultation
• Guest lectures and conference presentations
• Creative CPD for professionals working with care-experienced people
• Collaborative arts and community projects
• Research and practice partnerships
• Panel discussions and spoken word performances
Every project is designed collaboratively and adapted to the people involved.
Our Values
Everything we do is rooted in:
Creativity before labels.
Participation rather than performance.
Collaboration rather than extraction.
Psychological safety.
Curiosity, honesty and respect.
The belief that everyone deserves to tell their own story.
Safeguarding
The wellbeing of participants is always our priority.
Many workshops involve personal reflection, but no one is ever expected to share experiences they do not wish to discuss. Participants are encouraged to work at their own pace and retain ownership of what they create.
The Aftercare Project does not provide therapy or crisis intervention. Where workshops are delivered with children or vulnerable adults, we work alongside the commissioning organisation's safeguarding procedures and designated safeguarding leads.
Content shared publicly is always done with informed consent, and contributors may choose to remain anonymous.
Inclusion
The Aftercare Project welcomes people of all backgrounds and identities.
We are committed to creating spaces that are accessible, trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming, where difference is respected and everyone's contribution is valued.
Get in Touch
If you'd like to discuss a project, commission a workshop or simply explore an idea, we'd love to hear from you.
Together we can create spaces where people feel seen, heard and free to write back.
